At Transform Communities Staffordshire CIC, we are proud to deliver a wide range of services designed to support children, young people, and families across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Everything we do is built around the idea of creating safe, inclusive and inspiring opportunities that help people grow, achieve and feel part of their community. Our services reflect the needs of the areas we work in and are shaped by the voices of the young people and families who attend.
One of the core parts of our work is the delivery of youth clubs. These sessions provide a safe and welcoming environment after school and in the evenings where young people can come together, socialise, and take part in positive activities. Each club is designed to be fun and engaging, while also encouraging learning, creativity and personal development. From arts and crafts to music, games and sports, the sessions are varied and inclusive. They give children and teenagers the chance to relax, build friendships and develop confidence in a setting that is safe and supportive.
Alongside this, we run the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme during school breaks. This has become a vital part of our service, especially for families who face challenges around the cost of living and holiday hunger. Our HAF provision combines exciting and structured activities with free nutritious meals, helping young people stay active and connected during the holidays. Families often tell us how important these sessions are, not only for their children’s wellbeing but also for easing the pressure at home during difficult times. We also welcome siblings and children who may not qualify for free school meals, ensuring that no one feels excluded and that entire families can benefit.
Sport and physical activity play a major role in our work. We see sport not just as a way of staying fit, but as a tool to build discipline, resilience and confidence. Our sports offer includes boxing, tennis, dodgeball, football and a range of multi-sports, delivered by trained coaches who understand how to motivate and inspire young people. Many of our coaches are role models from within the community, including young female leaders who encourage girls to get involved in activities they might otherwise avoid. This approach breaks down barriers, builds self-esteem and opens up new opportunities.
For those who need more targeted help, we provide one-to-one mentoring and personalised support. We work closely with schools, local authorities and the Youth Offending Team to identify young people who are struggling, whether with behaviour, school engagement, confidence or challenges at home. Our mentoring programmes offer consistent, trusted relationships where young people feel listened to and supported. Through this work, we help them to set goals, make positive choices and find ways to manage difficulties.
We also recognise that supporting young people often means supporting their families too. That is why we offer guidance, signposting and practical help to parents and carers, connecting them with services and resources that can make a real difference. Family fun days, community events and outreach work bring people together, strengthen relationships and create a sense of pride and belonging in local areas.
Through these combined services, Transform Communities Staffordshire CIC is creating safe spaces, new opportunities and stronger futures for children, young people and families in the communities that need it most.
